Good days are ahead! Still, today's a good day to smile.
Just a hobbyist programmer with high hopes. Currently working on my metalanguage and programming language, Barbar! Barbar is Armenian for "dialect", because the language is surprisingly simple for the power it grants! More information about Barbar is coming soon.
I am a huge believer in free software, yet I am guilty of not refusing non-libre software. Sadly, convenience wins at the end of the day if you are not deliberate about your choices, but I believe libre software can win the convenience battle sooner or later with the help of programmers who are not afraid to rethink systems from scratch!
The commonplace man chooses convenience over principledness, and that is not a tragedy, but a constraint to work with.

Working on my own programming language has been lots of fun, lots of learning, lots of human connection with like-minded people, and it taught me to re-evaluate and question my daily tools. It taught me to be a first-principles systems thinker.
To my fellow programmers: oftentimes, "working on a programming language" sounds like an untouchable and complex beast, primarily because it questions fundamental assumptions that we think in. That is dogma masked as conventional wisdom. There are many tools that make it much easier to work on your own programming language, and I believe more people should consider it. Please don't hesitate to get in touch with me if you don't know where to start but wish to do so.
